On October 21, 2014, the GSE has published the 2013 Outlook of renewable energy in Italy.

The production of electricity from RES (Renewable Energy Sources) in 2013 exceeded 112 TWh (+21% compared to 2012), now covering about a third of the national gross Italian domestic consumption (34%), a significant increase compared to 2012 (27%). In just six years, the contribution of RES in the national electricity production is essentially doubled.

Also ENESSERE with Hercules Wind Generator has contributed to the growth of the production of electricity from renewable sources through wind power.
