The German Design Award is the official design award for Germany presented by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology. It is one of the most renowned international design prizes. The German Design Award identifies and presents unique design trends: a competition that advances the design-oriented scene.
This is a very special recognition, since ENESSERE vision is “no compromise between beauty and technology”. Our aim is to make iconic micro wind turbines that help individual and companies undertake and communicate their path towards energy independence with a mix of high green technology, “Made in Italy” design and high scientific artisanal work. With its wooden blades and unique proportion inspired by the Golden Ratio, ENESSERE Hercules Wind Turbine captured the attention of a highly esteemed and international jury.
The German Design Council, the expert for brand and design in Germany, bestows the German Design Award. Commissioned by the highest authority to represent new developments in the German design industry. Established on the initiative of the German Bundestag (the lower house of German parliament) as a foundation in 1953, it supports the industry in all matters consistently aimed at generating an added brand value through design. As a result, the German Design Council is one of the world’s leading competence centers for communication and brand management in the field of design. The exclusive network of foundation members includes in addition to designers and design associations, in particular the owners and brand directors of numerous renowned companies.
ENESSERE Hercules Wind Turbine will be awarded with a specific publication in the Official Catalogue of the German Design Award. The Catalogue will also provide a summary of the innovative trends that are currently occupying the international design scene.
Jury statement
This beautiful-looking wind turbine is notable for its vertical, sculptural, tree-like design, thus enabling the product to blend seamlessly into its environs. The fact that the specially formed, hand-crafted wooden rotor blades rotate around a vertical rod makes the product far more compact than conventional wind turbines with their radiating blades – and also result in a far more aesthetically pleasing product.
