Home » Incentives and Funding Opportunities
Incentive schemes for renewable energy projects are constantly evolving and vary according to the location, the type of organisation involved and the applicable regulations.
For this reason, ENESSERE does not promote any specific incentive programme, but supports designers, companies and partners in assessing the funding opportunities available at the time a project is developed.
Companies investing in renewable energy generation systems may, depending on the applicable regulatory framework, have access to grants, incentives or support schemes related to self-generation and self-consumption of energy.
An ENESSERE wind turbine can contribute not only to energy generation, but also to strengthening a company’s ESG strategy, enhancing property value and communicating its commitment to sustainability.
Renewable Energy Communities represent one of the main areas of development within the energy transition.
In this context, integrated solutions combining architecture, landscape and energy generation can contribute to the creation of shared projects that generate value for citizens, businesses and local communities.
Municipalities, public authorities and organisations involved in urban regeneration projects may have access to funding programmes dedicated to sustainability, energy innovation and urban renewal.
ENESSERE installations can become distinctive features of squares, parks, waterfronts, campuses and public spaces, helping to make the environmental commitment of public administrations visible.
Every project has its own specific characteristics.
For this reason, ENESSERE evaluates each project individually, assessing the possible integration of available incentive schemes in collaboration with professionals and specialised partners who identify the most suitable funding opportunities at the time of project development.
Private customers purchasing an ENESSERE vertical small wind system may benefit from a tax deduction equal to 50% of the eligible expenditure, up to a maximum amount of €96,000 (VAT included), spread over ten years.
For example, with an investment of €60,000, the customer may claim a tax deduction of €30,000, corresponding to €3,000 per year for ten years. The deduction is claimed directly through the annual tax return, provided that payment is made by means of the specific traceable bank transfer required under Italian tax regulations.
This tax deduction is available pursuant to Article 16-bis, paragraph h), of the Italian Consolidated Income Tax Act (TUIR), as it applies to works aimed at improving energy efficiency. Submission of the so-called “mini-ENEA” communication is also required.
For companies, the purchase cost of the wind turbine is generally tax-deductible through ordinary depreciation in accordance with Italian tax regulations.
The investment may also qualify for a 10% tax credit for the purchase of new capital assets.
The tax credit can be offset through the Italian F24 tax payment system in three annual instalments (or in a single instalment for companies with annual revenues below €5,000,000).
The invoice must include the wording:
“Eligible assets pursuant to Article 1, paragraphs 1051–1063, Law No. 178/2020.”
