F.A.Q.

ENESSERE wind turbines are 8.85 m high.
The maximum rotor diameter is 2.68 m for Hercules and 2.67 m for Pegasus.

ENESSERE wind turbines are equipped with a grounding system and surge protection devices designed to protect the electronic components of the system.
As with any outdoor installation, the risk associated with particularly severe weather events cannot be completely eliminated. However, it is significantly reduced thanks to the protection solutions adopted by ENESSERE and continuously improved over time.

The inverter immediately disconnects the system from the electrical grid until a safe reconnection is possible.
At the same time, for safety reasons, the blades are automatically slowed down and stopped by an internal hydraulic braking system.

Annual energy production depends primarily on the wind conditions and the characteristics of the wind at the installation site.
Based on a Weibull distribution with an average wind speed of 6 m/s and k = 2, ENESSERE wind turbines produce approximately 7,000 kWh per year.

Peak power output exceeds 4 kW at wind speeds between 18 and 20 m/s.

These values are indicative and may vary depending on the wind characteristics at the installation site, the consistency of the wind flow and the nature of the wind itself. In general, denser winds produce significantly higher energy output at the same wind speed.

The turbine starts rotating with a constant wind speed of approximately 3.5–4.0 m/s. Under these conditions, the rotor begins turning counter-clockwise and progressively increases its speed until the wind reaches 18–20 m/s, where the turbine achieves its maximum operating speed.
Above this threshold, the controller automatically slows down and brakes the turbine to ensure complete operational safety.

Through the  myTurbine app, users can also select three operating modes that limit the maximum rotor speed before the turbine is automatically stopped:

  • Adagio – up to 80 RPM
  • Andante – up to 140 RPM
  • Vivace – up to 200 RPM

allowing users to choose the operating mode that best suits their preferences.

ENESSERE wind turbines are virtually silent.
At their maximum rotational speed of 200 RPM, the noise level is only 38 dBA, well below the 60 dB threshold generally considered disturbing to the human ear.

Simply put, the sound of the wind is always louder than the noise generated by the rotating turbine.

Yes. Multiple ENESSERE wind turbines can be installed within the same site, creating configurations composed of several wind generators.
To ensure proper system operation, a minimum distance of approximately 8 metres must be maintained between turbines, avoiding aerodynamic interference that could affect rotor performance.
Each turbine must also be equipped with its own dedicated control panel, as a single controller cannot be used to manage multiple wind turbines.

When operated in accordance with the scheduled maintenance programme, an ENESSERE wind turbine has an expected service life of at least 20 years.
The only components subject to wear are the brake, the three bearings, the surface finish of the blades and the possible deterioration of the magnets inside the generator.

ENESSERE wind turbines are designed according to the safety standards typically applied to larger wind machines and operate at relatively low rotational speeds, normally below 200 RPM during energy production. This approach provides wide structural safety margins, reducing mechanical stress and long-term wear.
The turbine is continuously monitored by an electronic control system that receives data from several safety sensors, including:

  • Wind speed sensor
  • Vibration sensor
  • Rotor speed sensor
  • Temperature sensor

In the event of anomalies, excessive wind, excessive vibration, overspeed or any other condition that could affect the correct operation of the system, the controller automatically stops the turbine.
Shutdown is ensured through multiple protection systems, including electronic generator control, electrical braking systems and a hydraulic mechanical brake designed to stop the turbine even under the most severe conditions.

Furthermore, in accordance with the applicable safety standards, the turbine automatically enters a safe state in the event of a power failure or any other condition requiring a precautionary shutdown.

ENESSERE wind turbines are designed in compliance with the European requirements for CE marking and with EN 1090-1 and IEC 61400-2 standards.

We are continuously working to improve the long-term durability and preservation of the wooden blades by testing new coatings and drying processes.
At the same time, we are continuously refining the control software so that the turbine can progressively learn the specific wind behaviour at its installation site and optimise its performance by selecting the most efficient torque curve.

This development goes hand in hand with our goal of remotely monitoring and managing the wind turbine through online data transmission.
Our vision is to create a wind turbine that also becomes a hub for meteorological and environmental information at its installation site.
This is part of our ongoing innovation in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT).

It is extremely unlikely that our wind turbines could interfere with birds, both because of their relatively low height of approximately 9 metres and because, compared with horizontal-axis wind turbines, their swept surface is much smaller and easily visible to birds.

Before installation, the foundation must be designed and constructed according to the site conditions, and an internet connection must be provided for the remote monitoring and management of the turbine.

ENESSERE wind turbines can operate either connected to the national electricity grid (on-grid), contributing to self-consumption and the export of generated electricity, or in off-grid mode when combined with battery storage systems.

In general, no.

ENESSERE wind turbines are not designed for rooftop installation.
Our wind turbines are approximately 9 metres high and are designed to be installed on the ground using dedicated foundations, carefully engineered according to the characteristics of the site and local regulations.

Absolutely.

All coatings, finishes, surface treatments and materials used in our vertical small wind systems are designed to withstand marine and saltwater environments.

The process generally consists of the following stages:

  1. Preliminary Site Analysis
    • Assessment of the architectural and landscape context.
    • Evaluation of wind conditions and site suitability.
    • Review of any planning, environmental or landscape restrictions.
  2. Permits and Administrative Procedures
    • Verification of the permits required by the relevant authorities.
    • Management of the procedures for connection to the national electricity grid, where applicable.
  3. Detailed Engineering Design
    • Definition of the turbine location.
    • Design of the foundation and the required civil works.
    • Design of the electrical connections and data connectivity.
  4. Preliminary Construction Works
    • Construction of the foundation.
    • Installation of conduits and electrical connections.
    • Provision of an internet connection for remote monitoring, where required.
  5. Final Site Verification
    • Inspection of the completed preliminary works.
    • Planning of installation and commissioning activities.

Only after these stages have been completed does the ENESSERE team proceed with turbine installation, electrical connections, functional testing and system commissioning.
The objective is to deliver a turnkey solution, minimising operational complexity for the customer while ensuring long-term system reliability.

ENESSERE wind turbines are Made in Italy products, manufactured and assembled at our production facility in Brendola, Vicenza, together with a network of specialised companies located in North-East Italy.

ENESSERE wind turbines are designed to provide high reliability with minimal maintenance requirements, thanks to the use of industrial-grade components and continuously monitored control and safety systems.

The maintenance programme mainly includes:

  • Annual Maintenance
  • Cleaning of external surfaces and components exposed to weather conditions.
  • Visual inspection of blades, arms and tower.
  • Inspection of safety systems and sensors.
  • Inspection of the electrical control panel and electrical connections.
  • Inspection of the braking system and the main mechanical fastenings.

Periodic Maintenance

  • Every three years, more detailed inspections are carried out on components subject to wear.

Major Overhaul

  • After approximately 27,000 operating hours, or in any case within 6 years, a complete overhaul of the rotorbraking system, bearings and hydraulic circuit is carried out, together with the scheduled periodic inspections.

All ENESSERE wind turbines are equipped with control systems that enable remote monitoring of performance and operating status, allowing any anomalies to be detected promptly and maintenance activities to be optimised.

In summary, ENESSERE wind turbines require scheduled maintenance similar to that of a high-quality technological system, with regular periodic inspections and limited extraordinary maintenance, ensuring safety, reliability and long-term durability.

We offer a two-year standard warranty covering both the product and its spare parts.
Through an ENESSERE service agreement, we also offer an all-inclusive extended maintenance programme to ensure the long-term preservation of the product.

You should contact your dealer if, for any reason, the turbine becomes noisy or produces unusual sounds.

You should also contact the ENESSERE Service Centre if the rotor rotation appears partial or abnormal.

We will respond as quickly as possible to provide full support and, if necessary, intervene promptly.

ENESSERE wind turbines are designed to withstand severe storms without sustaining damage.

However, in exceptionally severe weather conditions, it is always recommended to stop the wind turbine using the emergency stop button and secure the rotor to the ground with a rope or another suitable anchoring system.

Yes. ENESSERE wind turbines are designed to operate fully automatically and can remain unattended for extended periods.

Each turbine is continuously monitored by a control system that supervises the main operating parameters through dedicated sensors, including wind, vibration, rotor speed and temperature sensors.

If abnormal or potentially critical operating conditions are detected, the system automatically activates the appropriate safety procedures.

An ENESSERE wind turbine can be stopped at any time using the emergency stop button located on the control panel, which immediately activates the braking and shutdown systems.

For extended shutdowns or maintenance operations, the rotor can also be mechanically secured using dedicated anchoring systems, in accordance with ENESSERE procedures and by authorised personnel.

ENESSERE Hercules Wind Turbine weighs approximately 690 kg, including:

Tower: 350 kg
Rotor: 180 kg
Blades: approximately 70 kg
Accessories: 90 kg

ENESSERE Pegasus Wind Turbine weighs approximately 610 kg, including:

Tower: 300 kg
Rotor: 180 kg
Blades: approximately 40 kg
Accessories: 90 kg

At the end of their service life, ENESSERE wind turbines should be taken to an authorised recycling facility, where the metal components and electronic equipment can be recovered and reused.

The tower can be reused for a new turbine installation, while the blades can be regenerated by ENESSERE for future use.

Since ENESSERE wind turbines are less than 15 metres high and have an installed capacity below 60 kW, they are generally not subject to the specific Italian regulations governing small wind installations.

However, it is always necessary to consult the local municipality where the turbine will be installed to verify whether any local or regional regulations impose restrictions or additional requirements.

In most cases, only a SCIA (Certified Notification of Commencement of Works) must be submitted. Under the Italian “silent consent” procedure, work may begin 30 days after submission if no objections have been raised by the municipality.

If the system is to be connected to the national electricity grid under the applicable energy incentive schemes, the relevant GSE procedures must also be completed.

The rated power is 4 kW. Peak power output exceeds 4 kW and is achieved with steady wind speeds between 18 and 20 m/s.

Energy production increases progressively with wind speed until reaching a maximum output of approximately 4 kW.

Under standard conditions, ENESSERE wind turbines achieve their best performance with wind speeds between approximately 12 and 18 m/s, at around 180 RPM, while maintaining high standards of safety and reliability.

ENESSERE wind turbines can continue generating electricity with wind speeds of up to approximately 16–18 m/s.

Under more extreme conditions, the control and safety systems automatically intervene to protect the turbine and ensure its correct operation.

ENESSERE wind turbines use a multi-level safety system combining mechanical braking, electrical braking and continuous electronic control, ensuring maximum reliability even in adverse weather conditions.

The system continuously monitors turbine operation through dedicated sensors that detect:

  • Wind speed
  • Rotor speed
  • Structural vibration
  • System operating parameters

Whenever a condition exceeds the predefined safety thresholds, the turbine is automatically stopped.
