{"id":16556,"date":"2021-06-01T11:09:39","date_gmt":"2021-06-01T09:09:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.enessere.com\/en\/?p=16556"},"modified":"2021-06-01T11:09:42","modified_gmt":"2021-06-01T09:09:42","slug":"world-environment-day-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.enessere.com\/en\/world-environment-day-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"World Environment Day 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The restoration of ecosystems<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On June 5 we celebrate <strong>World Environment Day 2021<\/strong>, a day promoted by the United Nations (UN) back in 1792 to raise public opinion and governments&#8217; awareness on environmental issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Environmental issues are becoming more and more urgent, so this date takes on a symbolic importance for a change, which is seen as a new way of conceiving consumption and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.enessere.com\/en\/corporate-social-responsibility-and-renewable-energies\/\"><strong>producing in a sustainable way<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This date was not chosen at random, instead it reminds us of the <strong>first UN Conference on the Environment<\/strong> which was held from 5 to 16 June 1972 in Stockholm, Sweden, and drafted the Declaration of principles on human rights and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The theme of the World Environment Day 2021 is even more important because it decrees the official launch of the United Nations Decade for the restoration of the ecosystem, from which the <strong><em>theme 2021<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>\u201cEcosystem Restoration\u201d <\/em><\/strong>originates, to try to restore the damage created to the various ecosystems of the planet due to the human impact and to prevent others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>World Environment Day 2021 will see Pakistan as the host country, as each year the official celebrations are held in a different country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><br>Why is World Environment Day so important?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Our calendar is crowded with &#8220;world days&#8221;, from the weirdest to the most serious ones, but why should World Environment Day really interest us, or rather raise awareness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For many reasons, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>It makes us more aware<\/strong><br>Having to make responsible choices in everyday life is becoming increasingly a common thought: <strong>managing natural resources in a more sustainable way<\/strong> is now an obligation.
